This is definitely my favorite image from my autumn trip to northern Rondane Nat. Park this year. As I arrived at the first day of a 3-day trek at Rondane it started to snow. Early the next morning I realized that a condition I`ve been dreaming about for a long time surprisingly took place before my eyes. Having white mountains with a fresh sugar layer of snow and still be able to take in autumn colored birches beneath.
I waited till the most of the birches was illuminated by morning light, leaving a trail of trees in shadow for nice contrast.
