Ludo - Minolta XD-11 - Kodak Tri-x developed in Xtol.

Meet Ludo, a local character I encountered in Sheffield Tasmania.

Ludo was sitting outside a Café, with a Llama. Now this isn't a sight you'd expect to see in small town Tasmania, but there they were.

I gave the very friendly Llama a pat and asked Ludo "why"?

Some years back, Ludo was moving a Llama to graze in a paddock, taking a shortcut through town. Now it's not a very big town but it took Ludo over an hour to make the trip.

Everyone wanted to say hello to the Llama, have a chat, and take photos. Now Ludo, being an enterprising fellow, decided this was a lovely way to spend his time and earn some pocket money from tips, and is now a feature in the town.

Both locals and tourists alike have a picture with Zeeta or another of Ludo's collection of Llamas. I personally declined the offer of a photo with Zeeta but instead asked Ludo to pose with his lady Llama.

This picture is #7 in my 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page
