Sunrise Sand
I have to admit, as beautiful as the sand dunes on top of the behemoth “Cerro Blanco” are, I struggled to find a good angle to photograph sunrise. I raced around looking for a position that included: weaving dunes, interesting sand patterns, the green bush sprouting in the sand, and badlands thousands of feet below. Running on sand was slow and there wasn’t much time to spare as the glow of sunrise started to fade. Fortunately, this great view with dramatic side-lighting presented itself with enough time to spare.
