Visualization of a vector field using streamlines

Author: Maria Beatriz Carmo

Date: March 2010

Description: A streamline is a curve that represents a trajectory in a vector field. In the figure, streamlines represent wind trajectories colored according to wind magnitude. The dataset corresponds to geo-referenced wind samples gathered at regular time intervals.

Technique: Created with ParaView, an open-source application designed to visualize datasets
