I have the honor and privilege of shooting images for the Forgotten Paws Animal Rescue. Depicted here is Dawn, one of the founders of the organization and Roseanne, a very dedicated volunteer. In the middle of these two wonderful women is Tara, a sweet puppy with a disease called congenital megaesophagus. That means that she needs to use gravity to help get the food down her esophagus into her stomach. Her stomach lining doesn’t have the ability to pulsate/push the food down into her stomach, so she eats standing up and then is held upright for around 30 minutes. She is learning to use her “Bailey Chair” which enables her to safely eat. Roseanne is her foster mom teaching her to use her new chair.
