Central Asian Cobra (Naja oxiana)
After three snake-less days and nights in Uzbekistan we began to think that it might have been a mistake of visiting this region in high summer. However, this particular night, our luck changed. After less than 30 minutes in the habitat, Jelmer screamed, and the sound of his voice made me realize in that moment that he had found what we were looking for. It was a mesmerizing Central Asian Cobra (Naja oxiana)!
