Looking for direction

Step by step

Fearful of a fatal fall

Scared of safely standing still

Wishing I could slide,

like on a roller coaster ride,

into an ecstatic eternity

desiring to know the end

of this destined journey

looking ahead longing to leap

yet frozen in time

as I stare at the maze before me

puzzled within my mind
