San Roque is one of the most traditional and old neighborhoods of Quito, our guide escorts our passengers through its streets leading to the fresh vegetable and fruits market of San Francisco. En route, stop at traditional shops that sell: a well assorted variety of Andean/Ecuadorian fresh herbs/spices, Ecuadorian sweets shops for example sugar covered nuts and maize, turrones, guayaba sweets, caramel nuts, etc. Visit to a nearby traditional flour mill (if open).
