Västervåla Church
On the spot where the present church is located a wooden church was erected in the 1400th century.
In 1640 a new wooden church replaced the old one.
In 1794 a stone church tower was added and during 1891 and 1893 the wooden nave of the church was replaced whit a stone one. The tower remained however.
During a renovation in 1990 three windows that had been blocked out in the chancel, were reopened and the altar ring as well as the altar table was made mobile.
Among the inventories is a 13th century crucifix.
