Lares Trek by Yanahuara 4 Days - 3 Nights

Mostly our treks we looking in your fun and security by the safety trail on the Lares Area, idea of those option is encourage and promote the education en tourism industry to the population, There are some Andean healers, who are practices the Andean medicine and pray to the Andean Gods, crossing the Andes are multicultural belief of old ancestors past ready toughly by the time, who done ready the trek knows all holy custom and live, and travel trough the time by our professional crew to make fascinating insight into the Andean communities (Quishuarani to Yanahuara Route) takes us into the Lares region of the Peruvian Andes, therefore this area are less explore the preincas culture was plundered destroyed by the looters and some mining activities are destroyed the nature and people custom, there are mountains, lakes and highest pick, with breathtaking views of snow-capped Andean peaks rising to just under 6,000 meters. Our route takes us through many small village, communities. The end of the trek is on the heart of the incas town to Finally to finish in the city with relationship of Gog and deity (Machupicchu). We have plenty of time to explore this renowned and fascinating site, climb to Huayna Picchu, hike to Sun-Gate etc.

Lares Trek Itinerary:

Day 1: Cusco - Quishuarani (Lares) - Cuncani - Yanacocha

The Cusco city is the start a new adventure on the wilderness mountain,Our private bus come to pick up you at 06:00 am, sharp for a scenic drive through the Sacred Valley, Pisac alive town with a lot history and stopping for the scenaries, Calca one of the towns in the valley property to buy last snack and some camping staff as well small breakfast. To continued driving to Quishuarani - Lares (3,700m /12,150 ft) lares Departing Calca around 06:45 we head off for the scenic drive to Quishuarani (3,700m /12,150 ft) which is the starting point for the trek. Along the way you will be able to observe small Andean communities, spectacular mountain landscapes, herds of llamas and alpacas plus Campesinos (people of the local villages) in colorful costumes as traditional. Get our horses and company crew, to climbing to the first highest point Hualcacasa 3 hours (4400m) along the uphill we apreciate the lagoon named Queuña Cocha and can observe Mount Sawasiray (5400m) and Colque Cruz (5600m). There are steeper climb to our first pass, where observe Mount Veronica (5700m, a sacred Apu mountain in this Valley) which we descend to reach our lunch place beside the picturesque 'seven lagunas'. Following the trail more descent through the community of Cuncani, then gradually ascend beautiful hillsides for 2 hours to reach our second pass, Qolqecasa (4200m). 30 minutes descent from here past lagunas and waterfalls till we arrive at Yanacocha base camp the end of the day at 5 pm.

Day 2: Yanacocha - Wakawasi Community - Mantanay

On the morning we start packing the equipment and own gear, the first breakfast with our crew and the Andean neighborhood using the colorful dresses, around the camp ground there are native families who care animals and they invite to their houses to share the experience and holy live of them and us, land scape around Yanacocha lake with the birds noises and will gradually descend for approx 2 hours until Chaqchapata (3950m) the potatos crops is main product of the people on the highland they preserved the potatos (frozen potatos) flocks of llamas and alpacas developed in this part of the Andes (part of the cameloid family) and the local communities of people who continue living in houses made of rocks. Along the slope we can observe the farmers of Chaqchapata and to get Wakawasi village. We then ascend to our lunch destination on the 'spongy grass' by a glacial stream, Champacocha. The ascend continued till get reach the highest point of our trek, the pass of Auroraccasa (4600m) and observe the lagoon Auroracocha part of that lake supply drinkable an transport by aqueducts till the farming fields, the thick glaciar and naked mountains consume by the warming globing, the descent trough the valley of Queuñas along to go dwn the scenary are more green notice the new climate property to growing corn crop, the colorful lanscape accompanying along the downhill till arriving at our base camp called Mantanay (3900m) after approx 2 hours.

Day 3: Mantanay - Yanahuara - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes

Thanks the comments of the hikers they rates the best camp site around the sacred valley with depth valley and green land scape with a lot vegetation, breakfast late and start walk onaround 8 am with a much easier day ahead as we descend to lower altitude & enjoy amazing views of part of Moray complex, Maras town and Salt mine, mountains and the queuñas bush valley. Following the framers trail until yanahuara town is crossing by the corn fields, potatoes and local vegetables to sell later in villages in the Sacred Valley. The walk down take 5 hours to reach the picturesque village of Yanahuara where we enjoy the last lunch of the trek and farewell our staff, arrieros horses, handlers, cooks and assistants. Soon drive private bus 30 minute ride to Ollantaytambo train station (12:58 pm train time to Aguas Calientes) there are hostal accommodation and hostal.

Day 4: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco

the ancient day on the trek is start as early possible to go up by bus or walk, on the clear sky days is able to see the sunrise even when is cloudy is mysteries and majestic, explore with the guide 2 hours after that explore by yourself or to do extra hike surround the city, chance to climbing to Waynapicchu and Machu picchu mountains you need book a ticket for those last ones, on the afternoon back down to Aguas Calientes to return by train until Ollantaytambo (18:45 pm) and transport by car to cusco arrive hotel (11:00 pm aproxm).

- Others: hot water every morning and evening for washing purposes / boiled water to fill in your water bottle every morning and night, and at lunch time if requested with enough time ahead

Backpack with rain shelter.

Sleeping back.

Clothing for warm and cold climate like a waterproof jacket.

Long- and short-sleeved polars/T-Shirts.

Rainponcho, cold and sun hat.

Bathing suit (for the hot springs in Aguas Calientes).

Flash light, Sunscreen, insect repellent, disinfecting alcohol and gel, water bottle and sterilizing tablets, toiletries and toilet paper.

Camera (wrapped in plastic bag), a flash light and batteries.

Some snacks like chocolate bars and dry fruit.

Since the weather can be very cold and moistly, your clothes - once gotten wet - won dry at night. So take some clothes to change.

Optional service hired :

An extra horse to carry your personal items: US$ 20.00 Per Day. A horse can carry up to 30 kg.

Sleeping bag rent: US$ 5.00 Per Day. Our sleeping bags are 18ºC-comfort (0ºF) and mummy form and include a sleeping liner.

Therm-a-rest inflatable sleeping pad rent: US$ 5.00 Per Day

Walking stick lightweight aluminum ($2.00 per day, per stick) Two sticks are recommended for tough hikes.

Thermarest inflatable mattress - $4 per trip day

Single tent supplement (if you don’t want to share a tent) $25.00 per person

HIRE POLICY:

When calculating costs for hire of walking stick, sleeping bag, calculate using the length of the tour. Even though you won’t use the equipment on the final day it will still be ‘on the road’ and ‘occupied.’

If you hire equipment and break it you are responsible for price of replacement /or repair. (please do the right thing!)
