Lancashire smokers sign up for Stoptober
Smokers in Preston have taken their first steps towards giving up during this year's Stoptober campaign.
An event to encourage people to sign-up and get the support they need to quit was held today (Friday, 19 September) at the St George's shopping centre.
The event was hosted by Lancashire County Council and the local stop smoking service.
Stoptober is a national campaign run by Public Health England to encourage people to get help to stop smoking during October. It is supported locally by Lancashire County Council.
