BEAVER POND and Creek within Nature Reserve (bordering Dharma Centre of Canada)
I'm standing on the big beaver dam shown in the preceding image. This beaver pond is known as Little Union Lake.
According to the Nature Conservancy of Canada, beaver ponds provide an ideal habitat for turtles and other marshland wildlife. And this large beaver dam on which I'm standing also makes a handy dock and walkway for humans.
This beaver dam across Union Creek is just inside the boundary of a nature reserve bordering the Dharma Centre of Canada, Kinmount, Ontario.
Wood Buffalo National Park (in Alberta & NWT) has the world's largest known Beaver Dam (850-metre long / 2800 feet) which is visible from space.
