BEAVER TEETH MARKS Cutting down a Tree (at Dharma Centre of Canada)

Teeth marks showing how a tree is chiselled down by :

Castor canadensis = Beaver (North America)

Castor = genus

Castoridae = zoological family

Rodentia = zoological order

Photographed at the Dharma Centre of Canada, Kinmount, Ontario.

Wood Buffalo National Park (in Alberta & NWT) has the world's largest Beaver Dam (850-metre long / 2800 feet) which is visible from space.

Building material is cut down by beavers with their teeth. The tenacious water rodents then drag their felled trees overland, haul them through water, and muscle them into the largest constructions made in the animal kingdom.

The architectural and engineering feats of Castor canadensis is exceeded only by that of human beings.
