The Praying Mantis

This praying mantis was made with 42,164 Lego bricks and measures 50 inches by 48 inches by 30 inches.

I shot this at McKee Gardens, Vero Beach, Fl in 2017 during an incredible Lego exhibit:

"Nature Connects: Art with Lego Bricks" by artist Sean Kenney.

 

I chose to utilize selective color in order to let the praying mantis stand out among the lush green foliage.
