Bear Claws [8/52]

Quick poll*: how many people have wrinkly feet? I think they're super cute. My feet are smooth on the bottom, so I am not that cute.

 

More to the point, this shot is for the Dogwood theme "One Shot" (and it really was!) and the 52 Weeks: 2017 Edition theme "High Key." For One Shot, the idea was to pretend like you're on your last shot on a film camera: no do-overs. Lots of prep, no test shots.

 

High Key refers to lighting that is quite uniform and free from shadows. In a lot of interpretations, it also involves light colours so that the image doesn't have a lot of contrast, though I don't think that's part of the "official" definition. I tried to encompass both, but not blow out the image. Maybe you like feet, maybe you don't, but I think it's a successful high key shot.
