Linda says: I mean...look at that face. What a capture. Wish I had taken it.

Linda says: Not a portrait photographer myself, I saw this and loved everything about the way it was shot and processed. I also was drawn to the strength and vulnerability in her face.

Linda says: I'm a sucker for abandoned buildings. In this photo, I love the bright colors and the HDR which brings out some great textures. Often, these types of photos (my own included) are darker so this one is a terrific variation on a theme.

Linda says: Immediately, upon viewing this photo, I felt the serenity of it through the puddle circles. It's the type of photo I could stare at for hours in a meditative state and fell calmness all around me. And actually, it's what I need right now. So, thanks Tom.

Linda says: Many well-known photographers are known for their black and white street photos. Jon did a great job of capturing the look on this woman's face when she saw the art piece with the arrow going through the skull. Also like that the background is blown out so it doesn't interfere with the subject.

Linda says: Actually, I chose this picture for several reasons...some not having anything to do with photography. The first reason was because I liked that only the buildings were done in HDR, then because it looked like it could have been somewhere in Italy. I also liked the idea of seeing Folsom in a different way...not only as home to the famous prison but as a beautiful place unto itself.

Linda says: I was immediately drawn to this photo...the colors, the post processing, the patterns in the drops, the blue vignette...everything comes together beautifully.

Linda says: In the thousands of photographs I've seen of the L’arc de triomphe, I don't remember one from this angle...where a lamppost takes your eye to the Arch. A beautifully taken and processed photo.

Linda says: This is wonderful. So many photographers would have removed the photographer from the picture and I think it a bold, yet brilliant, move to leave the photographer in. I love it.

Linda says: I looked at this photo and just felt the weariness in the subject. It speaks volumes. I could see a magazine buying this to use as an example of the plight of so many people in this country today. Beautifully captured.

Linda says: The purity and theme of "three" hit me with this photo. It also incorporates three of our senses...sight, sound, and touch.

Linda says: Love this!!! I don't know if I can even put into words why, but I think it's beautiful. Everything seems to fit...the soft and oof objects...the textures...the blown out areas. Looking forward to seeing more of this kind.

Linda says: I don't think I've ever seen a Jeff Clow photo that isn't wonderful, and must admit that I immediately recognized this photo as one of his. What I didn't know is that Jeff had picked it as his favorite photo of all time and I can see why. There is so much evidence of the time, the detail, and the love that went into this not only when shooting it, but in the post processing. I want to be able to do post processing like Jeff when I grow up.

Linda says: (NOTICE: I moved this photo from BBBG4 so I could add the final photo of my tenure to that gallery.) First a disclosure. I saw this picture on Bob's photostream and told him that had I seen it in the Bistro pool, I would have chosen it for BBB4. So he added it, and so did I. Here's why: when I first saw it, I thought I was looking at some kind of invitation or announcement from the 1940's. Converting this to black and white was a great idea. Using a soft white vignette...better still. But adding the type with that font...completed the product. I could almost hear Glenn Miller's band playing Little Brown Jug.
