Uh yeah, that old-fashioned looking lamp looks to be -painted- onto the wall...

That odd lantern isn't the only example of one-dimensional design elements I'm afraid, but at least there's only a few more of them scattered about. Someone's real artistic to be able to do that however, just seems a *real* old-school lantern would have looked less out-of place (or would it)!??
