Kinkaku-ji, officially named Rokuon-ji, is a Zen Buddhist temple in Kyoto, Japan. The garden complex is an excellent example of Muromachi period garden design. Kinkaku, the golden pavilion, and Kyoko-chi pond that represents the sea.
