Funky Fruit

While this looks like it may be a close up of some nasty disease, it is actually rambutan which is a tropical fruit that is native to Southeast Asia. It is high in antioxidants and vitamin C, however, its peel and seeds may be toxic when eaten raw or in very large amounts. Grabbed this shot in Maui, Hawaii.
