An Osprey flying away from the lake

Osprey are one of several migratory raptors from Central Asia / Europe that dot the lakes during winters. They are often found near shallow lakes here with high perches - either trees or large high tension power line towers. The birds hunt once-twice and then rest most of the day maddeningly for us. Often it is a long wait to see it in action. Interestingly, some don't go back and we speculate that they maybe too old to make that journey.

This shot was taken at a large lake that hosts several migratory waterbirds we hoped to see them in action. But instead the weather become very windy and the boat rocked dangerously forcing our boatman to head back to shore in less than an hour. And this Osprey, we got maybe 15 mins with it. Shortly the bird pooped indicating that it had a nice decent meal. It was mostly perched and then flew away from the lake to some tree tops I suppose to roost for the night.

Thanks in advance for your views and kind feedback. Very much appreciated.
