One-of-THE-Coolest-Public Art Terrazzo Murals in PORTO
1960’s Mural ,by Augusto de Oliveira Gomes of Portugal.
Made of Terrazzo- R. de Ceuta 106, 4050 PORTO, Portugal .
How-The-Hell-this was installed & fabricated- leaves me in awe!
I've watched old-school-Terrazzo-Floor-craftsman pouring
and spreading (troweling) the crushed-Marble-composite
onto floors, between the Wire-Outlines- then
grinding and polishing it smooth and level, but
that's on a HORIZONTAL Surface- NOT A WALL!
Can't image how complex this was to fabricate.
P.S. (just found this online!)

Among the various works he has created are portraits,
cards for tapestries and mosaics, various paintings,
decorative panels and mural paintings in several buildings, among which, the frescoes of the Chapel - mor of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, in Porto,
a fresco at the Ofir Hotel,
a mural at the Matosinhos Tourist Office,
a mural of colored cement and stone, outside the Vouga building, in Porto,
a mosaic in the factory of the Companhia União Fabril Portuense and several panels in hotels.
One at the Hotel da Batalha, in Porto, another at
the Hotel Porto - Mar in Matosinhos, one at
the Portuguese Bookstore, in Porto, etc.
