Just Back from the Powder Coater
WOW!
What a difference.
I wish I had a b4 picture.
For way too many seasons these 2 chairs sat outside in The Heat, The Rain, The Sun, The Snow, and got-
weathered
The Steel was oxidized, its original coating long degraded. The Teak ( or Ipe ) wooden slats had faded and were in need of some sanding- major Grain Raising going on.
Good thing there's a Furniture Doctor in the Family!
After being taken apart and sitting in my shop for more than a Winter- I "finally" had the time (not necessarily a "good" thing) to get the Frames Sandblasted- and over to my new- favorite PowderCoater in Melrose Park,Il.
The wooden slats got sanded to a 180 grit- and wiped in an outdoor "deck Finish made from Rosewood Nut Oil- called Penofil-
WoW!
Now- they're too nice to leave outside!
