The right day/El dia correcto
English: I was taking my coffee before going to work when I turned around and saw ‘I’ sitting with her friend very close at my left hand side. The thing is that she has light green eyes that seem to change to yellow. After our first exchange of glances, as a reflex, I turned back to look at them again. This time she held the typical ‘go away’ eye contact that girls give to strangers. I felt shame therefore I decided for a direct approach before I created and awkward moment. I smiled to her and I admitted that I was stunned by her eyes and asked her if I could take a photo. I made little jokes about her yellow eyes; she laughed and said ‘sometimes you wake up and it’s just the right day’. ;) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Espanol: Me tomaba un café antes de ir a trabajar cuando vi a esta chica junto a su amiga sentada muy cerca de mí. Me llamaron la atención sus ojos verde claro que con la luz parecían amarillos. Una vez más me di la vuelta tropezando con su mirada de ‘no molestar’ (esa que las chicas ponen a los extraños que las miran). Para evitar crear tensiones, decidí hablarle y sonriendo le dije que tenía unos ojos fascinantes y que por favor me permitiera tomarle una foto. Hice bromas sobre el color de sus ojos y finalmente riendo me dio permiso diciendo ‘a veces te despiertas y es el día correcto’ ;) (March 20, 2014)
