Cathcart & Son garage in Braintree June 1988
This lovely old filling station was for many years sited on London Road in Braintree, Essex. The A on the globes stands for Anglo Fuels. A good selection of enamel advertising signs are displayed including a later-style Duckhams "Thermometer" sign.
The pumps originally had swing-out arms above the road. Shortly after this shot was taken in June 1988 the forecourt closed and the pumps were removed. Today it is a Vetinary surgery.
