Mountains Clouds & Fog
Sooooo.. it's been a while since we seen "Karl the Fog" make a guest appearence by the Gates. Today was one of those days that everything worked out so well.
The weather was a balmy 65 degrees at 6am in the morning, I almost wanted to wear shorts! There was a hint of color in the sky and we made our way quickly over from our meet up spot to go up to Hawk Hill.
As the sun was peaking up, I could sense some color potential so I decided to risk it and put on the 10 stop, and a 3 stop reverse on and here were the results. I had to guess the timing of the shot from the initial exposure, but luckily I was on the mark with it.
Too long of an exposure and the colors would not of turned out as smooth. Too little and the foreground would not be exposed.
Bumped into many familiar faces up there! :) Good times!
Edit 1: 100% natural, organic. Single shot, no bracketing, no HDR... all about glass filters.
