Farewell Candlestick

Last night, Candlestick Park played host to the last public event with Sir Paul McCartney playing one final tribute concert with his "Out there" tour. He played with The Beatles in their final concert here at Candlestick on August 29, 1966 and was playing at the same venue some 48 years later!!

This was the shot at the end of the 2.5 hour show, the finale.

Special thank you goes out to Denise from DYAS for shooting along side with me!

Candlestick Park (also commonly referred to as Candlestick) is an outdoor sports and entertainment stadium located in San Francisco, California, in the Bayview Heights area. The stadium was originally built as the home of Major League Baseball's San Francisco Giants, who played there from 1960 until moving into Pacific Bell Park (since renamed AT&T Park) in 2000. It was also the home field of the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League from 1971 to 2013. The 49ers have moved to Levi's Stadium (located in Santa Clara, California) before the beginning of the 2014 NFL season.
