Wednesday... hand picked 2kg of Strawberries from my local farm
(during this very hot Summers afternoon Strawberry picking session, I probably consumed a further 1kg for which I was weighed after hahahahahahahaha)
Thursday... took 1.5kg of the freshly picked Strawberries, 2 pods of Vanilla and 500g of Jam Sugar plus one sachet of Pectin and boiled in my Jam Pan...
Friday... Added jam to my vintage style gingham lidded jam jars and topped with a further gingham overlay...
Saturday... baked two of my famous light buttery vanilla sponges. Once risen to perfection and golden in colour and cooled, I then added the home made jam, freshly whipped double cream, some sliced strawberries then ate in the Sunshine with a rather large Gin & Tonic....
Sunday... 5 mile run!!!!!.....
During this photographic shoot, my hubby bit the end of my slice of cake, which you can see is missing..... no husbands were hurt during this photographic shoot as penance for stealing the end of the slice of cake but he was not allowed a second slice :)))))))) ... hope you have had a great weekend with Sunshine and Strawberries...
