All aboard

The train station in Bergen, opened in 1913, 4 years after the opening of the trainline between Bergen and Oslo. A competition for designs for the station was announced in 1900 and the was won by Jens Zetlitz Monrad Kielland. Ulriken, the highest mountain in Bergen, can be seen out the back window of the station. The train line travels under Ulriken after leaving the station.
