It's Christmas Time

Be warned, lots of christmassy baby pictures en route! I put up a mini studio in my living room last weekend and photographed a few of my friend's & family's kids, this is one of them. Originally that shot had a little white chair next to the girl, but she refused to sit so the chair looked out of place in the photos, so it had to go.

 

Also, it would be nice to hear from my dear foreign viewers, is photography a free market in your country, where anyone can open a photo studio without having a certain degree/acknowledgement? Because in Iceland, it's illegal for me to open up a portrait studio, without getting the "proper education", intership & passing an exam. Pretty much the same requirements that go for carpenters, plummers and many other fields where human health/life is at stake. If I had charged money for this photoshoot, I would be breaking the law and could be subject to punishment/fine.
