Paige on AIR
The on AIR Tour Bus arrived in Denver around 8 PM on Thursday evening. The first stop was the venue to offload all the gear (game systems, screens, wireless, etc.). After that we checked in at the Westin Tabor Center. By 9 PM we were en route to the Rock Bottom Brewery on the 16th Street Mall for a last group dinner.
Although I stayed downtown in the hotel with the rest of the crew Thursday night, Marna and Paige came to visit me for lunch on Friday during the venue. Paige got dressed up in a tour shirt, and I showed her and Marna around the bus that I'd been calling home for the past two weeks. They left after lunch, but I continue to hear how cute Paige was from people for the rest of the event.
The attendance at the Denver event was the lightest, but we chalked it up to an Apollo Ranch event a couple months earlier, and the fact that it was a Friday. The venue, Mile High Station, was really cool and the staff did a great job. We closed the venue down a little early (the first time the whole leg we were ahead of schedule), and I was back home Parker, CO around 9 PM.
That concludes the first leg (of three) of the on AIR Bus Tour. It's been an amazing two weeks. I've met countless inspirational developers, eaten entirely too much junk food, and had a new adventure with some of the greatest guys around. There's a two week break, and then we're at it again in the southeast, and while I'm ready for a break, I'm also looking forward to the next leg. Shake and bake, baby!
