Fern leaves growing over an oak leaf in early spring.
First macro photo of the year for me. Walking away from the shore where I was photographing the sandhill crane posted earlier, I noticed this fern sprouting out from under a bed of tree leaves covering the ground. I couldn't resist photographing this because of the contrasting colors and textures.
