Parakeet at sunrise

This was taken from the window of my flat in London, at around eight o'clock on a December morning. Parakeets were originally escaped birds but around west London and Surrey they are now very common - but a surprise to visitors. Being on the third floor of the building is ideal as we are at the height of the treetops outside. Most mornings we see between one and ten of these birds outside.
