Lonly Victorian Street Lamp

There is a lamp down my street...

A lonely Victorian lamp with her old gas mains connections long taken out, with her now new electric fittings, she shines on all the people which pass her by...

She used to flicker as though she may have been in distress until a man came to fix her & make her feel her best...

Now she shines bright with her bulb protected from the wind & rain...

On her ornamental curvey ion stick & her tall ornate structure she shines proudly on all people whom pass.

Her old healing colour of a type of racing green, of types...

Her classical column like structure which use to tower over times of past...

Now she’s just another part of an array of common sights, the storys she could tell if she could speak...

Now she is fixed & now she dose not flickr anymore, the service she provides may be took for granted yet she still shines alone on the street were I live, possibly dreaming of times past alone & on her own.
