East Lancashire Railway

The East Lancashire Railway connects with Network Rail, and this connection is useful for movement of trains between the two networks. Most of the time this preserved railway only uses its own metals, and runs trains between Bury Bolton Street and Rawtenstall. During the summer, the service extends to Heywood.
