Yellow!

A profusion of Bur Marigold blooms in central Florida's Polk County, not far from Florida Forever's Lake Hatchineha Watershed project. The project consists of three separate parcels of land totaling approximately 6,500 acres in Osceola and Polk Counties that would preserve such varied habitats as scrub, marsh, floodplain, lakeshore, and blackwater streams.

I was pleased to have this image chosen for the month of September in the 2012 Florida Forever Calendar. The calendar features the work of some of Florida's top nature photographers including Carlton Ward, Jason Hahn, and Daniel Ewert. Please support this great organization and order a copy today, it makes a great gift for the holidays!

I've moved this image to the front of my photostream to promote the calendar.
