The Rising Sun, Castleford

The Rising Sun pub in Castleford, England, has some interesting features:

Historical Significance: The building was designed by Charles Voysey, a celebrated architect influenced by the Art Nouveau movement. Many original features reflecting this style contribute to the restaurant’s lovely ambiance.

The Interior originally had a Billiard Room and Library, now replaced by a bar. Recent alterations include Edwardian-style fittings and stained-glass windows.

A 20th-century building that combines elements of traditional and Arts and Crafts architecture. The conversion from a Miners' Institute to a pub reflects changing social needs while preserving the historic structure.
