Mold Gold Cape, Wrexham Museum

This is the back. Nearly 4000 years old and an astonishingly well executed piece of metalwork for people who just left the stone age! Apparently made for a small woman who was undoubtedly of very high rank. Either a tribal chief or a religious leader? Many beads, including one amber bead were found on and around the cape.
