A great day out with chums from college reunited with our mentor, John Brailsford. He was in charge of the Outdoor Education department at Bangor Normal College, where we trained as teachers. He is still amazingly fit despite a touch of vertigo.
We cycled down from Ogwen cottage on the old A55 to the trail through the slate mines and on to Port Penrhyn. A wonderful ride from the heart of Snowdonia to the sea.
