Maintaining British Sovereignty over Rockall,
My 'ticket' to Rockall. The ship was raising funds for a charity in Plymouth and five tickets were raffled off at £1 each. My name did not come out of the Chief Officer's hat but two lucky travelers were unable to go so their tickets were auctioned. My ticket eventually cost around £70 if I remember rightly, following a sealed bid auction which I won with a bit of collusion with the Chief Officer (thanks Richard).
