This aircraft was delivered to ILFC International Lease Finance Corporation and leased to Balair / CTA Leisure as HB-IHS in Apr-00. The airline was part of the Swissair Group and the aircraft was repossessed by ILFC in Oct-01 when Swissair ceased operations.
Balair was sold to a consortium of Swiss Travel Companies in Nov-01 and renamed Belair Airlines AG. The aircraft was re-leased from ILFC.
In Jan-08 Belair was taken over by the Air Berlin Group and marketed as Air Berlin Switzerland. The registration D-ABPB was reserved but not taken up. The aircraft was returned to the lessor in Apr-10 and stored at Madrid, Spain.
It was leased to Thomson Airways as G-OOBP in Jun-10 and was stored at Manchester, UK. It was was fitted with blended winglets and entered service in Nov-10. Thomson Airways was renamed TUI Airways UK in Oct-17.
The aircraft was withdrawn from service in Oct-21 and ferried to St. Athan, Wales, UK for interior strip-out prior to freighter conversion. It was returned to Blackrock Leasing as N394BR in Dec-21 and ferried to Goodyear, AZ, USA for storage.
In Jun-22 it was ferried to Xiamen, China for cargo conversion and sold to CargoJet Airways (Canada) in Jul-22. The aircraft was converted to freighter configuration with a main deck cargo door in Dec-22 and ferried to Hamilton, ON Canada on delivery.
It was re-registered C-GCJB in Jan-23 for service entry. Current, updated 27-Jan-23.
