First flown on 06-Oct-09 with the Airbus test registration F-WWSH, after interior fitout and painting at Airbus Hamburg-Finkenwerder the aircraft this aircraft was delivered to Lufthansa as D-AIMA on 19-May-10.
It was withdrawn from service and stored at Frankfurt, Germany in Mar-20 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. It was moved to long-term storage at Teruel, Spain in May-20.
At one point it looked as though Lufthansa would permanently retire their A380 fleet, however they have gradually brought them back into service.
4.5 years later this aircraft was ferried via Frankfurt to Manila, Philippines in Sep-24 for heavy maintenance prior to return to service. Updated 04-Oct-24.
