I need to take a moment to acknowledge not just the incredible talent of these two people when it comes to creating the images we do but also give them credit for the people they are and acknowledge publicly how incredible they have been to me during the worst period of my life.
It's not easy to support someone struggling through grief. There's no question that I've been at my absolute worst personally. I've often been either moody, miserable, terrified, angry and/or very emotional. I know I get upset much more easily than I used to. I'm triggered constantly by reminders that are excruciatingly painful, which usually results in my either bursting into tears, going very quiet or getting very angry. In short, it's not much fun for the support people.
Despite the agony that has been the last 2 years, I have also learnt that I am fortunate to have true friends in my life, people who really are there through the good and the bad and there just aren't enough words to express my gratitude to them.
These two people are part of my inner circle, people that I have trusted with the worst of my pain and who have never let me down.
Thank you so much Frank and Mish - and thank you to everyone that has offered kind words. It really does help to be reminded of the good in the world at a time that has often felt unbearably cruel.
Please don't stop being kind to others online - not just to me but to others around you. 'Like' or leave a nice comment for someone else online for no other reason than to be nice, support a small business selling products you enjoy, donate to a charity you care about - do little things that make a positive change in the world. Because....why not?
