The Perfect Way To Usher In My Last Day As A SAHM | 18

(and NO I don't mean that a cup of SB coffee is THE perfect way, by perfect I mean the MEANING behind the cup of SB coffee)

 

So today is quite a BIG DAY for me.

HUGE actually.

 

It is my very last day as a stay at home mom.

 

My life for nearly the last SIX years.

Life as I know it will DRASTICALLY change on Monday.

 

Life as I know it and life as my kids know it.

 

On Monday I start my new full time job as a foster care case manager.

 

There will be lots of highs and lows with this new chapter but I am SOOOOO READY to take it ALL on.

So where does the coffee come in?

 

Well it's quite a fun little story.

 

This morning after I dropped Nathan off at kindergarten, me and the kiddos decided to go through Starbucks, well I DECIDED (LOL). I received some SB giftcards from my mom (THANK YOU MOM!!!!!) for Christmas and about once a week I reward myself with a OH SO FAB cup of SB coffee. It's important to note that we just RECENTLY got a SB in my city, OMG I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, so I am still kinda a SB virgin.

 

So here I am chatting it up on the phone with my girl Insatiably Sassy while I am pulling into SB. For SOOOOOOO MANY reasons (she is a SB barista ETC) it was JUST FREAKING PERFECT that I was talking to HER while I was ordering my coffee.

 

Me being the SB virgin that I am I said to her,

 

"What should I get girl? I want something hot"

 

Well she knows ME so she knew right away that I would want something HOT and SWEET and something that isn't too strong. Call me crazy but I actually don't care for coffee flavor.

 

Right away she told me to get the White Mocha.

 

So that is exactly what I did.

 

And damn is it SOOOOOOOOOOO SOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!

 

I almost forgot, OMG!!!!!!!!!!, I kid you not that the barista who took my order this morning while I was talking to Jen was a Jen too!

 

Jennifer and I go wayyyyyyyy back.

 

She has been one of my very best friends for over 4 years now. Although it feels more like a lifetime as friends.

 

We have had SO MANY wonderful and difficult times together, SO MANY highs and lows BUT we always come out stronger than EVER.

 

Before we both started working, we would literally spend hours on the phone each day. Well somedays it'd be hours. We ALWAYS talked on the phone. EVERY SINGLE DAY (Cara I miss our days of talking too and I LOVE YOU!!) . Now don't get all DCFS on me, it was during nap times lol.

 

It's been a verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry long time since we have been able to do that so it was JUST PERFECT that today while I was at SB, on my LAST day as a SAHM, that I was talking to Jennifer.

 

Today she just happened to be off because of having a sick kiddo at home. Although you know what? There are no accidents.

 

We are both spreading our wings and starting our careers right now. It is SO wonderful having someone by your side through all of lifes changes. I am so blessed to have her in my life......as well as many others....You know who you are.

So today it was WAY MORE than a cup of coffee.

 

It was indeed the PERFECT way to usher in my last day as a SAHM.

Their is nothing quite amazing as feeling as if once again you are coming FULL CIRCLE and that there really are no accidents.
