softly

Richmond Bridge, Tasmania. It is the oldest bridge still in use in Australia and the oldest stone span bridge in Australia.

The soft focus effect was done 'in-lens' with an old EF135mm f2.8 'soft focus' lens. This lens was used back in the film days before photoshop, mainly for portrait work. The lens is really sharp without the soft focus effect, and it then has two 'soft' settings - this image is the least soft of those settings. I normally like my photos super-sharp, so this is a bit of a departure for me.
