The summit of Mt Wellington taken from my front yard.

I just got a T2 screw in adaptor for my 1970's Lentar 500mm mirror lens - this means I can plug it straight to my modern digital camera (5DIII) without an FD-EOS adaptor (which causes loss of quality).

So rather than pimp this lens with multiple extender adaptors (to get 1,600mm or 3,200mm in some of my previous shots), this is just 500mm as clear and crisp as a 40-something year old lens can achieve!

It seems to have quite severe vignetting on a full frame camera (I don't notice it so much on the 7D), so I went with it to get this moody effect.
