I have been attending a (seniors) photography workshop where we are looking at the communities in which we live. We are working towards a group project of some sort that we are collectively trying to define. It is very interesting for me as I have not worked collaboratively in my art very much.
Part of the progress is journaling as we try to individually place ourselves to experience new aspects of our neighbourhoods with the goal to tell a collective story on some level. It is interesting for me as I have mostly focused on the E+Ps of image making and have not initiated work with a any specific objectives in mind.
In the end I will not tell you what I see in this, what it means, that is for you to contribute. I will tell you that It does address many aspects of community I see around me in 2020 both good and bad.
