Gladstone Lock, 1959 and 2013
The old shot is of newly built diesel tug Mv William Lamey, manouevring Swedish cargo vessel Mv Takima Valley into the dock.
The new shot is one of my company's ships, Mv MSC Diego, coming in this afternoon. Part of my job is arranging for our ships to come in and out of port through this lock, so set up this move and came down to catch the moment in as close a position as I could to the old shot!
The OCD is getting to be too much, I think. Waiting for a bus to come along is one thing, but arranging for ships to be in the right place is just over the top!
