"Faces of Keene"
"A slide presentation for the City of Keene, by Anne Wardwell, 1975." The "Descriptions" under these photos accompanied the slide show and are meant to be read in the order shown.
Taken by local photographer Anne Wardwell, the many faces of Keene are portrayed. Born and raised in Boston and educated in Boston schools and Wellesley College where she majored in art history, Anne R. Wardwell brought a wealth of knowledge and a passion for historic preservation to this project. She was commissioned by the Cheshire Arts Council in 1975 to document "the greatest and most lasting impressions of Keene," which included a public exhibit of 34 photographs of buildings and landscapes culled from the hundreds of slides she took using her 35mm Nikon.
