Mary Emerson Robbe was born in Dublin, N.H. on Nov. 23, 1878. She married Francis Stafford Parker in Taunton, Mass. on Nov. 26, 1908. Mary lived in Dublin, N.H. for most of her life, but also spent some time in Warren, Mass. She worked as a telephone operator, while Francis worked for the YMCA. They had three children, two of whom were born in Warren, Mass.: Florence Evangelin Parker, Ruth Gertrude Parker, and Charlotte May Parker. Mary Robbe also had a brother, Walter Lane Emerson of Dublin, N.H., who worked as a lineman. He died fatally on the job at the age of 35, when he fell from an electrical light pole. He left behind his two children and wife Ada Ericson.
Mary Robbe died in 1915, three years after her brother and mother died. Her husband Francis had died only a month earlier, so her daughters had to be placed up for adoption. Ruth was adopted in 1923 by Reuben Carlton, and Charlotte was adopted in 1916 by the Flagg family.

Mary Emerson Robbe took many photos of Dublin, N.H. She often took them of her relatives. A couple pictures are of Frank Wilbur Corey Robbe who lived in W. Somerville, Mass. and went by the name "Will". .

These photographs were donated to the Historical Society of Cheshire County by Mary Seaver and Helen Hathorn in April of 1989.
