DESCRIPTION

Stereograph of General Griffin's house, also know as the Lamson House. This is the site of the present post office. "Many houses of this type have been torn down in Keene within a few years in the so-called march of progress. This house was built by William Lamson in 1804, and afterward occupied by Gen. S.G. Griffin, and sold to the government for a post office site." The house was razed c.1910.
